Poeple shouldn't care about triflings as these. It is a "fantasy" style game.

You think that fireballs wouldn't burn the armor off a mesmer? Or a warrior woulndn't get frostbite from being hit with water magic's deep freeze? Or that an earthquake only knocks you down for one second and that the damage can be magically healed by a monk that waves a staff while chanting?

I still think the rits are dirty rotten liars. I don't think this was ever supposed to be a serious topic though. I think it was meant as more of a humorous discussion. No need to take it so seriously LifeInfusion

I suppose you're right. But in a way, I think the matter I raised, in what I feel now was the wrong way, is slightly different from the 'problems' you raised, in that none of those have ever crossed my mind. And now that they have, I don't think that any of those have any real application to the game, whereas the blinding issue does, especially as the blind icon is a blindfolded man, which is how the Ritualist appears all the time. Apart from when you take off the headgear...

But that's beside the point. You're right. It shouldn't matter.

Indeed, it was never meant to be a serious topic. However, from the replies I've got, it seems like an issue people may actually care about.

Not that it really matters, 'cause it is just a fun thing to think about, but it would be amusing if Rt headpieces had "immune to blindness" tagged onto them. It's hard to think of a build that could possibly be overpowered taking advantage of this, because no Rt is going to effectively play assassin or warrior compared to a primary one even if they could be immune to blindness... but of course, it's not like a blinded Rt is a game-breaking inconsistency either.
